Viktor Pelepchuk was born in 2000 in Czernowitz, Ukraine, and began his musical education at the age of six. From 2008 to 2016, he held a scholarship from the national programme for gifted children, “Children of Ukraine”. In 2016, he won the Grand Prix at the All-Ukrainian “New Names” competition in Kyiv. He is a prizewinner of international and regional competitions.
He became involved in the creative work of his family’s recording studio in Czernowitz at an early age. Later, alongside his developing career as a pianist, he worked at the studio and contributed to two CDs: “Paul Celan. Selected Poetry” (2020) and “Sidi Tal. From Concert Programs” (2021).
In 2016, he moved to Klagenfurt, Austria, the twin city of Czernowitz, and began studying piano at the Carinthian State Conservatory with Professor Elisabeth Väth-Schadler. In 2020, he continued his studies at the Gustav Mahler Private University of Music, initially in her class. His recordings are available on all major digital music platforms.
In 2024, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Musical Performance in the class of Prof. Lovre Marušić and maintains an active concert career.
He also works in the sound department at ORF Kärnten, the Carinthian division of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation.
